Pampering Tips for Brides

Hair:  The formality of your hairstyle should match your dress.  Take a picture of your dress to your stylist along with your veil, combs, or other decoration and practice before your wedding day.  DO NOT try a new color 3 weeks or closer to your wedding date unless you want to tempt fate and invite disaster!

Skin Care/Make-Up: Make some trips to department store cosmetic counters and try out products that interest you. Check out BeautiControl products here:  http://www.beautipage.com/stephanie_h/index.asp.  This company makes some great products that address a wide variety of skin care issues. It is very important to take good care of your skin in the weeks leading up to your wedding.  Getting enough sleep, drinking lots of water, and consistently sticking to your skin care routine can do wonders.

Some brides hire make-up artists but that really isn't necessary if you plan ahead.  Experiment with concealers and colors and have a friend take a few pictures in different lights to see how your make-up will hold up.

Manicures:  Get one.  Enough said.  Get a pedicure to.  People will be looking at your hands and possibly your feet all day. Details count and you don't want to botch it up yourself.  If you have attendants take them with you and make it a girls day out.
