My Wedding
Budget
Having been a graduate student and
single-parent for more years than I care
to admit I had a very small budget. Here's a
run-down:
Flowers $200
Wedding Dress $99
Daughter's Dress $120
Alterations: $100
Shoes & accessories: $100 shoes for my
daughter and I, 2 evening wraps, earrings, and
make-up
Hair and manicure: $100
Invitations and
Postage: $50
Cameras: $50
Dinner and drinks: $1700
Lodging in the Inn: $400
Music: $40 This included a few mp3
downloads and a cable to tie my laptop into the Inn's
stereo system.
Rehearsal Dinner: $250 This was
dinner for six people at a nice local
resturaunt.
Favors: $20 I used Andes Mints and Jourdan
Almonds in tulle gift-bags that I bought on e-bay for
$12.
My only real regret is that I did not hire a
professional photographer. I don't suggest saving
money that way.
